I love this post from last year so much that I've decided it was worthy of a re-post. Spring is here even in Wisconsin (where some of us in the north have just endured the biggest blizzard in 100 years!) Enjoy the read. And let me know what you think! (There is a pun there!!!)
"As I was journaling this morning, contemplating my day, I was reminded of a gardening metaphor that always comes up each spring--a perennial thought like the tulips and daffodils that appear in our flower beds and landscapes each and every year without our doing anything except initially planting them deep into the soil, and then allowing them to become what they are. Life is like that--our hopes and dreams do come true once we put them into the light of day from the recesses of our minds and deep yearnings of our hearts.
What are you planting in your mind this spring: It's true that the future is made up of our thoughts and dreams of today--this very moment. Are you thinking BIG or complaining that this year is just like the last and nothing ever changes? I sprinkled my journal pages this morning with Oola GROW. I love the scent--I find it soft and pretty. (despite being more of a bolder gal who adores Sacred Mountain, Ylang Ylang and Black Pepper or Joy most mornings (Earthy Virgo!!!) But I created my journal-diffuser and love its symbolism: I simply blessed my hopes and dreams with oils, enjoyed inhaling and thinking about my intentions and prayers, and "watered them" with this oil blend named Grow. Then I decided to put a few drops of Surrender into my palms and inhale 6 - 8 times for a count of ten. And I then went upstairs to dress for the day and blessed my wrists, my ears, my shoulders, back and feet with Abundance. I believe the frequency of these oils do help me manifest my dreams. I keep clear my intentions; for what I place in that vast Universe--the Mind as some refer to it, God, Great Spirit--whatever I plant there will indeed be manifest and returned (reflected back ) in my life.
"Our thoughts are prayers, and we are always praying. Our thoughts are prayers, be careful what you're saying...." I used to sing these lyrics at my church in Milwaukee every Sunday, and the melody and words flow through my head often..."and know that God is always there. My every thought becomes a prayer."
Whether or not you're in a sacred space you've created, a church pew at mass, or wandering through the grocery store, be mindful of your thoughts.
Keep light, and love and peace at the forefront of your consciousness.
Think about what you WISH to happen; kindly brush aside those thoughts that pass through that you really don't need anymore (nor wish to manifest.)
And enjoy the future you're creating every day.
With or without oils, your thoughts are prayers.....and you will manifest what you are thinking about!
Love and light until next time,

I am super excited about Frankincense Oil! In my family, we are looking forward to Holy week and all of the sacred traditions leading to Easter Sunday! Since Jesus was gifted Frankincense at His birth, I thought I'd share a bit about Frankincense before we celebrate His Easter Sunday miracle.
Frankincense is one of the oldest essential oils and is used primarily in meditation to support inner balance. Considered the “holy anointing oil” in the Middle East, frankincense has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years. It was well known during the time of Christ. Anciently, the Chinese used frankincense to support overall health.
Today, frankincense is still used worldwide for both its ceremonial and dietary uses. Frankincense can be used topically or diffused to enhance spirituality and meditation, or for uplifting attitude and mood-enhancement. As a supplement, Frankincense Vitality delivers support for overall wellness and normal cellular health, and has a complex, sweet flavor.
Promotes spiritual awareness and enhances meditation
A tonic for the body and mind
Comforting properties support mental balance
Excellent support for skin health
Stimulating and elevating aroma
It's a valuable oil and I LOVE it!
Love and light,

Ahh, the cherished "week-end" is here! We all need to take some time out of our day to relax. Sometimes, however, it's only on that snowy Friday night or lazy Saturday that we actually take advantage of a sip of bubbly and a soak in the tub. Do you wanna create a spa at home this weekend (or any time) to alleviate the stress of the day from work, school, or any other pressures in life? Then keep reading!
One good way to relax is by creating your own "at-home spa experience." You can do this by incorporating therapeutic grade Young Living essential oils into your normal morning and evening routines. Here are few ideas to try:
Create a calming bath:
Mix Epsom salts, baking soda (1/2 C each) and about 5 to 10 drops of a calming essential oil into a warm bath. I LOVE using Lavender, Bergamot, or Peppermint. The essential oils in the bath are calming because they are inhaled and have direct contact with the skin. The soda and salt help muscles relax and absorb the oils--I recommend at least 20 minutes with soothing music, candles or absolute silence--it's your spa -- indulge yourself with what YOU love and need!
Enhance your lotions. I love YL's Genesis hand and body lotion. I actually add a carrier oil to stretch it out a bit--it's thick and luxurious on its own--I just like it last longer--it's up to you. Add a couple of drops of Tea Tree, Lavender, Cedarwood, or Frankincense essential oils into your lotions. You’ll be amazed by the results. Oh, they'll smell so good!
Relax with a foot bath. Mix a couple of drops of Lavender, Tea Tree, Peppermint, or Bergamot essential oils to into a square-sized bucket that’s big enough for your feet. Make sure the oils are evenly mixed in the water and dip your feet in. You’ll love the way your feet will feel after this foot bath!
Diffuse: If you're out of baking soda and/or epsom salts, add them to your grocery list. And still take a calming bath. Set up your diffuser with something awesome--like Cedarwood and Pine if you're in the mood to sit in the forest; or Ylang Ylang and Black Pepper--its scent is of carnations and lovely and kinda sexy; or Lavender would do the trick for a scent-sational relaxing tub. Got a hot date later tonight? By all means, soak away the day but diffuse Peppermint--and after your bath, towel dry, put Joy, Ylang Ylang and/or Lady Sclareol on your pulse points and behind your ears--and don't forget that drop of peppermint on your tongue for a super-powered hello!
Oh, yeah--don't forget the organic strawberries! They're just soooo spa-velous!
If you have any questions about how to create your own at-home spa experience, please feel let me know. I’m happy to provide any recommendations I've used.
Yes, there is an invisible law that governs the compensation you receive in life because you are sending invisible waves (vibes) into the Universe by what you think, what you expect, what you put your attention on, and what you give. Wow! For real? YES, the Universe (God) is aware of our thoughts--good or bad. And it is all about vibration!
Think good thoughts! Stay positive. Because what you focus on is exactly what you receive!
If you want an increase in compensation, then it is imperative that you get in harmony with what you want by putting your focus and attention on it. So, in other words, put out positive vibes—not thoughts of scarcity and lack. Every thought you think draws to it more of what you are putting out. Think about loneliness—you get more loneliness in your life. Think about how difficult it is to stretch your income to pay the bills—you get more of the same. But if you think that abundance in the form of money energy increasing and a larger income stream is coming your way, it does. Think about drawing the love of your life to you—he or she is on the way. (Trust me on this one! If you don't know my love story, ask!)
If you think about increasing your income through your Young Living business, it will increase. But if you think how difficult it is to find people who want to sign up—that is exactly what you will manifest! It’s the law of compensation. (Same with health and wellness: See it and be it! Use oils--it helps!) Linda Smith published a great newsletter this week on my favorite blend: Abundance. Enjoy!
Abundance™ Essential Oil Blend
Here's some ways you can use this blend to help you with the law of compensation.
Abundance™ blend of orange, frankincense, patchouli, clove, ginger, myrrh, cinnamon bark, and spruce raises your vibrational frequency to be in harmony with the abundance you desire. This synergistic blend creates the law of attraction and the energy and frequency of prosperity and plentitude.
Try putting a drop in your wallet, applying it as a perfume behind your ears, on your neck, wrists or soles of your feet. (One word of caution, some of the oils in this blend might be a bit strong for sensitive skin, so I recommend diluting it in a carrier oil before applying to the skin around the face and neck).
This is a great oil to diffuse in the room (or your office!) The goal is to get into harmony with what you are seeking.
Try observing what you are putting out in your thoughts and words. Is it fear, lack, anger at those who do have? Resentment that you have somehow been left to struggle in life?
Kindly, observe your thoughts and words. And when you do, consciously choose thoughts and words that are in harmony with the abundance you desire in life. Abundance™ essential oil blend can help change your frequency.
And Linda is right! I have used it for years in my office. I put a drop on invoices that I mail to my clients, and it's in my "receivable" drawer with my business checking deposit slips. I wear it on my ears to "hear opportunities," and I rub a drop on my belly as a symbol that I always have an abundance of food to eat; a drop on my lower back (base chakra) as I affirm: "I am financially supported." So many uses. And it smells so beautiful: Male or female--a beautiful scent to attract all you need.
Love and light,
PS: What a super Christmas gift for someone! If you feel like "gifting Abundance" to your friends, put 10 - 20 drops in a small bottle. It's $0.21 a drop approximately. Twenty drops will cost you $4.20 but think how you're gifting your loved one a blend that will help their vibes and assist them in attracting their wealthiest self. Super idea if you ask me. (I know you didn't, but I'm the one writing this blog post that you love to read! hahahha)
November is here! Turkeys, shopping, fluttering leaves and frozen pumpkins--it's a beautiful time of year--this prelude to winter's white landscape. Beautiful clouds in dark blue skies turn to dark gray rain-filled days in which to hustle and bustle, returning home to baked squash and roasted potatoes, perhaps long naps and fireside chats. Make sure you stay your healthiest as you're planning your parties and Christ Kindermarket trips. Don't you just hate it when you have so much to do, and all of a sudden you feel that runny nose or pounding head or tickle in your throat. "NO!!!!" you scream! "Stay away. I don't have time for THAT!!!!" Ugh, that dreaded feeling.... But wait! Is there a way to boost your immunity right now naturally? Well, of course there is!
How can you support your hard-working immune system naturally? By eating real food. And certain supplements are a great idea too. (Oh, yes, you've got oils!)
Vitamin C does stimulate components of the immune system. Eat colorful food as your source: Berries, sweet potatoes, peppers, oranges and papayas...stock up your fridge and enjoy!
Vitamin D is super for strengthening your immune system, and you need as little as 15 minutes of skin exposure to the sun. Take off your sunglasses (unless you need them medically) and let the sun shine in. Take off your gloves and let the sun kiss your hands, too. In Wisconsin, it's not recommended to stroll barefoot in the parks. You don't wanna catch a cold, do you? ;)
I've been reading good things about echinacea and ginseng. Do your research as folks with allergies or those taking meds could experience interaction. If in doubt, leave it on the shelf until you speak to your medical professional. For the rest of us, there are a lot of different teas with these herbs on the market.
DID YOU KNOW: Ginseng root is grown in abundance right here in Wisconsin (Wausau!); There's different forms, but according to an article I read by Brenna Jacks, ND (member of the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians) "most studies show a benefit with Panax ginseng."
Garlic isn't just for warding off vampires. Fresh garlic might be awful for your breath, but it's super for overall immune health. Add to soup (I do) and just make sure your spouse or significant other indulges too; that way, kissing won't be a problem.
And speaking of kissing, it's really a super reason to keep your immunity boosted, right? If everyone's healthy, everyone gets to smooch! And life is better with a kiss, don't you think?
So, relax, wash your hands often, sip some green tea or make a hot cup of water with lemon and a tablespoon of gogi berries and your favorite essential oil or blend. And enjoy this prelude to my favorite time of year!
